For your fireplace, your stove and your wood stove used exclusively
natural wood dried in the airwith a moisture content of up to
20% of its weight (if this value is lower the better).
The right degree of drying is achieved after
at least two years of outdoorstorage in a covered, ventilated and rain-protected area, for storage in closed rooms always make sure to ventilate (always leave a window open, to avoid mold growth, even in winter).
All types of hardwood (larch, chestnut, holm oak, beech, maple, oak, hornbeam, acacia / robinia) or sweet (spruce, fir, poplar, willow) are suitable for use.
The wood should always be split (it is not recommended the use of whole logs or branches) and the thickness of the logs should not exceed 10/12 cm, especially on accumulation fire machines, this to have higher temperatures in the combustion chamber and avoid the "embers" effect. The length of wood normally on the market is 25, 33, 50 cm, adjust in relation to the size of the combustion chamber of your fireplace and wood stove.
